Amy Jensen
Amy began practicing yoga as a way to find peace and balance within herself and in her beautiful but busy life as a married person with three children. To Amy, yoga isn’t just what you practice “on the mat”. It is the act of bringing compassion, awareness and understanding to every day, every moment and every breath.
Amy received her initial 200-hour yoga training and certification through the Temple of Kriya Yoga, Chicago, IL. She is a certified Yoga Bonding instructor (baby and mom post-natal yoga) through Lisa Bergly, Spirit of the Lake Yoga, Excelsior. She also received her Level 2 Thai Yoga Bodywork training with Tanya Boigenzahn, Devanadi Yoga, Minneapolis.
In June 2014, Amy completed an additional 300-hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training program through Spirit of the Lake and is continuing her application to become a Certified Yoga Therapist through IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists).
In addition to practicing and teaching yoga, Amy is an artist (BFA Minneapolis College of Art and Design) who is developing the resonant relationship between art, music and healing.
